Isaac Christie-Davies has completed a move to Liverpool after his contract expired at Chelsea. Christie-Davies, 20, was regarded as one of the most promising players in Chelsea’s academy after joining the Blues as an Under-11 and there were hopes he would make the first-team at Stamford Bridge. However, it became clear that Christie-Davies would not be signing a new deal at Chelsea this summer and the midfielder has had his heart set on joining Liverpool.
While there has been no official confirmation from either club, it appears the Merseyside outfit have wrapped up a move for the youngster. Common Goal, an organisation uniting the football community in bringing about social change, announced that Christie-Davies had joined their team – and the young midfielder is interviewed while wearing a Liverpool kit.

It is not yet known if Jurgen Klopp will keep hold of Christie-Davies for the 2018/19 campaign or whether he will be sent out on loan. Dominic Solanke was the last player to leave Chelsea for Liverpool when he sealed a switch to Anfield last May. Christie-Davies is Liverpool’s third midfield signing of the summer after Fabinho and Naby Keita both joined the club in recent weeks.

Former Leipzig star Keita was personally handed the iconic No. 8 shirt from Steven Gerrard at the end of last month. ‘It was an incredible day for me. He gave me the No.8 jersey. When it happened, it was a surprise and I didn’t expect it,’ he told Liverpool’s official website.
